Bitter Old Painters

Long overdue update - I've been busy with playing music, work, etc... And not really being inspired. However a or so week ago, inspiration struck again. As some of you know, I've been toying with making a Blighted Dire Troll army:

... But it didn't REALLY inspire me. The Motherlands great jacks keep whispering to me. Oh, and I saw some pics of the new Ruin jack for Khador. My buddy, who plays Legion, offered to trade me the new Ruin (when it comes out) for my Blighted Troll - so he can use as a Carnivean when playing trolls - and the deal was done.

I took a long hard look at some of my WIP jacks, and decided that they needed MORE. In Soviet Russia MORE is MORE!

I decided to rebase them, with slate and more scenic bases, repose them a bit, and add more detailing - more pistons, more spikes (plastic rod turned on a lathe), and more aggressive poses.

Without further ado, here they are so far - they still need a bit of work, but I'm nearing the painting stage:

Kodiak - I wanted to show that he's able to vent steam, hence the hoses and vent on the top:

Beast 09 - it's hard to see it, but the runes on his collar actually spells out "Beast":
